Can you chip tempered glass without it breaking?
We chippe small corner of a o door that supposedly was tempered during installation and it did not shatter. Does this mean the glass was not tempered properly or at all?

There is a small portion around the perimeter of tempered glass that can be lowered without affecting the structural behavior but should not be more than 1/8 " so if you exceed this limit, you can get the compression-tension zone and cause the break. the case with the surface, you can sandblast it to a certain limit, while efforts are not released, the glass remains without breaking. Just be careful in not getting to the limit.
